We first met at the end of 2020 and started our journey as friends. We maintained that close friendship for several years playing trivia at CC’s Coffee, Reginelli’s, and Happy Raptor RIP. After years of exchanging books, watching movies, meeting at fan conventions, trying new restaurants, haunted houses, and parties, we began to realize we were hanging out every week.
Last summer Ian attended the Rescue Project which led him to ask Ariel if he could join her at church. Soon after, we became more than friends. Church became a frequented place in our relationship. Rescue led to weekly mass, the ACTS retreat, Confirmation retreat, OCIA, Nine Church Walk, fairs, holiday events, and more.
After a fun filled year of dating, Ian proposed under the pavilion at Disney’s Boardwalk, Ariel’s childhood home away from home. We celebrated our engagement in the most “us” way possible- screaming our way through Ian’s very first Halloween Horror Night.
Our love story was born, not in immediate passion, but in patience. We developed a true love for the other based on learning and understanding before realizing we were finally in the right place in life to be ready for each other. We are excited to welcome the next chapter as husband and wife.
